With Obino, you lose weight by practicing healthy behaviours that in turn make you healthier and help you to lose weight, like eating nutritionally-balanced and calorie-counted meals, eating regularly and on-time, exercising adequately, learning more about your body and the process of weight loss, monitoring yourself, etc. And you can do all this on your own, at your own pace and convenience. How does Obino work?

Obino works just like a real-life Coach sitting on your mobile.

Obino focuses on a healthy indian diet, light activity like walking, adequate sleep and constant coaching & monitoring by expert dieticians to reduce stress, control your food intake and make you more active - all of which leads to good health and natural weight loss that is permanent.

Every morning, the Obino App will notify you of the Health & Weight Loss tasks for that day. In addition to telling you what those tasks are, Obino helps you complete those tasks by recommending exactly what you should do. And it also reminds you to do those Tasks at the appointed time through timely Reminders.

How is Obino different from other Weight Loss Apps?

Most Health apps are based on a traditional calorie-counting method - where you have to stay under a specific calorie limit in order to lose weight. Obino is different because instead of telling you to only count calories, we help you stay under your Calorie-limit for the day by recommending exactly what you should be eating and how much you should be exercising. In addition, we keep reminding you to make sure that you stick to these recommendations. So, Obino works on a Recommend - Remind model, which is how Real Coaches work!

Since our endeavour is to help you get healthy & lose Weight in a safe and healthy manner, our most useful Features like Meal & exercise suggestions, Reminders, My Diary, Tips & articles, etc are completely free! We have however, made available Expert Help for those who need a little guidance, like personalized Diet & Fitness Plans, Healthy Recipe and Expert Coaching from our Coaches. These are paid and you will need to sign up for a GoPro Package to access these.

How reliable is Obino?

All the content and information on Obino has been collected and created by an expert team, with decades of experience under their belt and you can visit the ‘About Us’ Section on our website to see their detailed profiles. So to answer your question, all our Content and Information is very reliable but since the human body and the way it reacts to food & exercise is such a subjective space, we would urge you to treat all information as a guideline and an approximation.

Are Obino's calorie values reliable?

Today, on the internet, there are hundreds of websites where you will get calorie values for various food items and dishes. Some of them are authentic and some of them are not. It is interesting here to note that some of the biggest and most respected names in the Calorie-counting world depend on crowd-sourced data - that is - calorie values calculated and fed in by non-professionals, regular people with no background or experience in diet and nutrition.
We strongly feel that such crowd-sourced data is highly misleading and should be stayed away from! Of those sites that are authentic, it must be highlighted that each nutrition team takes a certain recipe, quantity and preparation method into account while determining the Calorie Values of a Dish.

We use data from the National Institute of Nutrition. Our method is to pick apart the recipe for the dish in question, taking into account the individual ingredients and their respective calorific values. We also take into account the preparation style, which may add in further calories or detract from the nutritive value of the dish. So while the information we share with you is authentic, you must realize that if you prepare the dish with a different recipe/preparation style, then the calorific value of the dish will differ.

You don't have my favourite dishes. Help!

We're really sorry about that! But don't worry; we're a young team who is working frantically to add your favourite foods into the Obino database. And we'd sure like your help, so do tell us what your favourite foods are by simply clicking the Add Food button and adding it in our database. Don't worry if you don't know the actual calorific value for that item - just feed it in with an approximate value. At our end, our in-house Experts will authenticate it so that only the correct information reflects in the database. That will however take a few days to reflect so please bear with us.

Why is My Profile important?

The ‘My Profile’ Section on Obino is the single most important section that you must fill out! This is because Obino uses your Profile data to calculate your BMI, BMR, TDEE and Daily Target Calories! It also uses your Profile to prepare Meal Suggestions and Diet Plans for you! Hence your Profile is the determinant of how effective and useful our suggestions will be for you. So if at any time, you feel that the Suggestions on Obino are not working for you, then we suggest that you revisit the My Profile section under Settings and re-check the inputs that you have given us.

I'm using Obino but not losing any Weight? Help!

We understand how frustrating it is to put in effort and not see any results. But don't worry because sometimes the issue is as simple as not having chosen the correct Goal or having provided incorrect details in your My Profile section. So do check in to your My Profile Page and see that your details are entered correctly. It also may be that you are sporadically and inconsistently using Obino or following our recommendations only once in a while. Do remember that weight loss, especially sustained weight loss depends on the modification of your lifestyle on a long-term basis, so it is critical that you follow the suggestions on Obino on a sustained basis if you want to see results. On the other hand the reason for your lack of results may also be as complicated as an underlying medical condition that you are not aware of. In case of the latter, please consult your doctor and follow his detailed recommendation

What are Reminders?

Reminders on Obino are the stepping-stones to building healthy habits. With Obino's unique, one-touch Reminders, you can activate Reminders to Drink Water every 2-3 hours, Eat your Meals on time, Remember to drink Green tea regularly and even plan on taking regular Walk Breaks. You can access Reminders directly from the Navigation Bar. Once switched on, Reminders will appear in the form of Notifications on your mobile phone's Notification Bar. Please note that the Reminders option is not available on the Website.

What is My Diary?

My Diary is Obino's Meal, Exercise and Water-Consumption tracking tool. Armed with a detailed Indian Foods database as well as an extensive List of Cardio & Strength exercises as well as their Calorie values, My Diary has a simple and easy-to-use interface where you can log and track your food intake and exercise out-take. What's unusual about My Diary versus other such products is that we show you your Target Calories per meal (basis your Weight Loss Goal) so that you can compare your Actual consumption against that. You can not only Track/Log items directly into My Diary but also Save Meal Suggestions from Obino into My Diary directly saving you a lot of typing and time!

What does "Add What I Ate" do?

Obino's Add What I Ate option allows you to add various food items and dishes into the Obino foods database. Not only are the Items you Add via Add What I Ate transmitted to our Dieticians instantly for verification and authentication, they are immediately available to you for adding into My Diary or into the Meal Suggestions that we give you. You will find the Add What I Ate option in the Main Menu of the App as well as within the Add What I Ate / Search Sections on our Meal Suggestions and Track Meal features. Any items that you add into our Database will take some time to be examined, corrected and re-uploaded into the database by our Dieticians so please do bear with us till then.

What does "Add What I Did" mean?

The Add What I Did feature is meant to help you to add various Exercises into the Obino Database for your usage and tracking. This option appears within the Diary function when you are trying to Log any Exercise which you have done or plan to do. You can also convert any Existing Exercise into a Custom Exercise by keying in a custom Calorific Value for that Exercise - this calorie value is the calories burnt by you when 'you' perform that specific exercise and is separate from the general calories burnt by other people for that same exercise.

What is Custom Exercises?

My Exercises refers to the Custom Exercises that you have added into the Obino Database and it can be accessed from the Main Menu. A normal Exercise that is in the Obino Database will also be added to your My Exercises section as a Custom Exercise if you add a specific (personalised) Calories Burnt value to it - as that Calories Burnt Value is specific or custom only to you. From the My Exercises section, you can also modify or Delete all the various Exercises that you have added in.

What is GoPro?

GoPro refers to Obino's Premium Packages, which currently range from INR 999 upwards per month (inclusive of Service Tax.

These prices are subject to change without prior notice. You can purchase these Packages via the App or Website using any major Indian Credit Card/Debit Card/NetBanking Service. You will be happy to hear that our Payment Gateway is provided by PayU and is used by the top E-Commerce brands in India and is completely safe & secure.

Can I subscribe to more than 1 Package?

No. You cannot. In order to make things simple and easy-to-understand, we have currently limited the activation of 1 Package per User. If you do try to purchase another Package, the App will remind you that you are already subscribed. You can, however, from a 2nd Device with a 2nd User Id (Email Id) activate a 2nd Package.

Obino’s Packages give you the following:

  • Hand-made Diet Plan (Weekly Plan, currently sent on Email), created by our Coaches basis your eating habits and weight loss goals
  • Hand-made Fitness Plan (Monthly Plan, currently sent on Email), created by our Fitness Trainer, basis equipment available to you and your Exercise Habits
  • Bi-weekly Diet Counselling & Review Sessions
  • Unlimited access to your coach during working hours

With respect to results, typically our current customers see an average Weight Loss of 2-4 Kgs (at the Rate of 1/2 - 1 Kg per week) in the 1st month and at least 2-3 Kgs per month in the 2nd & 3rd months. But we must reiterate that this is dependent on how stringently our Guidelines are followed.

How do I pay for an Obino Package?

On the Website:

  • Go to Pricing section
  • Choose the Package and click the BUY NOW button under it
  • This will lead you to a VERIFY DETAILS Page where you will be asked to do the following: Enter your Name, Email Id, 10-Digit Mobile Number
  • Then Enter your Promo Code (leave this field blank if you don’t have a promo code)
  • Accept the Terms & Conditions by tick-marking the check box and clicking SUBMIT
  • You will then be redirected to the Payment Gateway where you will be charged the relevant amount

After completing the Payment process, you can log off as this Plan is delivered fully on the app and you need not fill anything further into the Website.

 

On the App:

  • Go to the GoPro page by clicking the button on the homepage in the top right corner
  • Choose the Package and click the BUY button under it
  • You will then need to choose the Duration of the Package, Enter the Promo Code (if any), Verify your Details & choose your Payment Mode
  • You will then be redirected to the Payment Gateway where you will be charged the relevant amount

On making the Payment, you can expect the following:

  • A Welcome Email & Tax Invoice confirming your Purchase
  • A Welcome Call from your assigned Health Coach for your Welcome Consultation.

Basis this Consultation, your Coach will prepare & send your personalized Diet Plan within 24 Hours on Email & also publish it within the app. This process will be repeated every week. Also basis this Consultation, your Coach will liaison with our Fitness Trainers and prepare & send you your personalized Fitness Plan within 48 hours on Email & also publish it within the app. This process will be repeated every monthly.

You now have unlimited access to your Coach on chat & call for any queries or doubts you might have.

How do I Customize My Diet /Fitness Plan (part of Obino’s Package?)

Simply click no the My Diet / Fitness Plan section. Simply select or change the customization parameters of your Plan from this section and click the Save button. This will provide some basic inputs to your coach that will help her finalise and prepare your plan.

How do I report an issue (with the Obino Package)?

If you have subscribed to an Obino Package and wish to Report an issue or if you simply have a query, then the simplest way is to use the Support tab. This can be found in the Settings section in the left side panel.

Each issue raised will be reverted to within 24 Hrs and resolved within 48 Hrs unless its a long-reaching bug in which case we will resolve it as soon as possible keeping you updated all the while.

Can I subscribe to more than 1 Package?

No. You cannot. In order to make things simple and easy-to-understand, we have currently limited the activation of 1 Package per User. How do I Customize My Diet /Fitness Plan (part of Obino’s Package?)

Simply click no the My Diet / Fitness Plan section. Simply select or change the customization parameters of your Plan from this section and click the Save button. This will provide some basic inputs to your coach that will help her finalise and prepare your plan.

How do I report an issue (with the Obino Package)?

If you have subscribed to an Obino Package and wish to Report an issue or if you simply have a query, then the simplest way is to use the Support tab. This can be found in the Settings section in the left side panel.

Each issue raised will be reverted to within 24 Hrs and resolved within 48 Hrs unless its a long-reaching bug in which case we will resolve it as soon as possible keeping you updated all the while.

With Obino, you lose weight by practicing healthy behaviours that in turn make you healthier and help you to lose weight, like eating nutritionally-balanced and calorie-counted meals, eating regularly and on-time, exercising adequately, learning more about your body and the process of weight loss, monitoring yourself, etc. And you can do all this on your own, at your own pace and convenience. Mostly Free!

How does Obino work?

Obino works just like a real-life Coach sitting on your mobile.

Obino focuses on a healthy indian diet, light activity like walking, adequate sleep and constant coaching & monitoring by expert dieticians to reduce stress, control your food intake and make you more active - all of which leads to good health and natural weight loss that is permanent.

Every morning, the Obino App will notify you of the Health & Weight Loss tasks for that day. In addition to telling you what those tasks are, Obino helps you complete those tasks by recommending exactly what you should do. And it also reminds you to do those Tasks at the appointed time through timely Reminders.

Is Obino Free?

Mostly! Since our endeavour is to help you get healthy & lose Weight in a safe and healthy manner, our most useful Features like Meal & exercise suggestions, Reminders, My Diary, Tips & articles, etc are completely free! We have however, made available Expert Help for those who need a little guidance, like personalized Diet & Fitness Plans, Healthy Recipe and Expert Coaching from our Coaches. These are paid and you will need to sign up for a GoPro Package to access these.

Are Obino's calorie values reliable?

Today, on the internet, there are hundreds of websites where you will get calorie values for various food items and dishes. Some of them are authentic and some of them are not. It is interesting here to note that some of the biggest and most respected names in the Calorie-counting world depend on crowd-sourced data - that is - calorie values calculated and fed in by non-professionals, regular people with no background or experience in diet and nutrition.
We strongly feel that such crowd-sourced data is highly misleading and should be stayed away from! Of those sites that are authentic, it must be highlighted that each nutrition team takes a certain recipe, quantity and preparation method into account while determining the Calorie Values of a Dish.

We use data from the National Institute of Nutrition. Our method is to pick apart the recipe for the dish in question, taking into account the individual ingredients and their respective calorific values. We also take into account the preparation style, which may add in further calories or detract from the nutritive value of the dish. So while the information we share with you is authentic, you must realize that if you prepare the dish with a different recipe/preparation style, then the calorific value of the dish will differ.

You don't have my favourite dishes. Help!

We're really sorry about that! But don't worry; we're a young team who is working frantically to add your favourite foods into the Obino database. And we'd sure like your help, so do tell us what your favourite foods are by simply clicking the Add Food button and adding it in our database. Don't worry if you don't know the actual calorific value for that item - just feed it in with an approximate value. At our end, our in-house Experts will authenticate it so that only the correct information reflects in the database. That will however take a few days to reflect so please bear with us.

Why is My Profile important?

The ‘My Profile’ Section on Obino is the single most important section that you must fill out! This is because Obino uses your Profile data to calculate your BMI, BMR, TDEE and Daily Target Calories! It also uses your Profile to prepare Meal Suggestions and Diet Plans for you! Hence your Profile is the determinant of how effective and useful our suggestions will be for you. So if at any time, you feel that the Suggestions on Obino are not working for you, then we suggest that you revisit the My Profile section under Settings and re-check the inputs that you have given us.

I'm using Obino but not losing any Weight? Help!

We understand how frustrating it is to put in effort and not see any results. But don't worry because sometimes the issue is as simple as not having chosen the correct Goal or having provided incorrect details in your My Profile section. So do check in to your My Profile Page and see that your details are entered correctly. It also may be that you are sporadically and inconsistently using Obino or following our recommendations only once in a while. Do remember that weight loss, especially sustained weight loss depends on the modification of your lifestyle on a long-term basis, so it is critical that you follow the suggestions on Obino on a sustained basis if you want to see results. On the other hand the reason for your lack of results may also be as complicated as an underlying medical condition that you are not aware of. In case of the latter, please consult your doctor and follow his detailed recommendation

What are Reminders?

Reminders on Obino are the stepping-stones to building healthy habits. With Obino's unique, one-touch Reminders, you can activate Reminders to Drink Water every 2-3 hours, Eat your Meals on time, Remember to drink Green tea regularly and even plan on taking regular Walk Breaks. You can access Reminders directly from the Navigation Bar. Once switched on, Reminders will appear in the form of Notifications on your mobile phone's Notification Bar. Please note that the Reminders option is not available on the Website.

What is My Diary?

My Diary is Obino's Meal, Exercise and Water-Consumption tracking tool. Armed with a detailed Indian Foods database as well as an extensive List of Cardio & Strength exercises as well as their Calorie values, My Diary has a simple and easy-to-use interface where you can log and track your food intake and exercise out-take. What's unusual about My Diary versus other such products is that we show you your Target Calories per meal (basis your Weight Loss Goal) so that you can compare your Actual consumption against that. You can not only Track/Log items directly into My Diary but also Save Meal Suggestions from Obino into My Diary directly saving you a lot of typing and time!

What does "Add What I Ate" do?

Obino's Add What I Ate option allows you to add various food items and dishes into the Obino foods database. Not only are the Items you Add via Add What I Ate transmitted to our Dieticians instantly for verification and authentication, they are immediately available to you for adding into My Diary or into the Meal Suggestions that we give you. You will find the Add What I Ate option in the Main Menu of the App as well as within the Add What I Ate / Search Sections on our Meal Suggestions and Track Meal features. Any items that you add into our Database will take some time to be examined, corrected and re-uploaded into the database by our Dieticians so please do bear with us till then.

What is Custom Exercises?

My Exercises refers to the Custom Exercises that you have added into the Obino Database and it can be accessed from the Main Menu. A normal Exercise that is in the Obino Database will also be added to your My Exercises section as a Custom Exercise if you add a specific (personalised) Calories Burnt value to it - as that Calories Burnt Value is specific or custom only to you. From the My Exercises section, you can also modify or Delete all the various Exercises that you have added in.
